When summertime comes, many of us want lighter dishes that we can prepare without turning on the stove. One of my favorite summertime meals is a good smoothie.
For me, a smoothie is a perfect breakfast or lunch replacement. When you do it right, you can even get a full serving of protein and a few servings of vegetables in one drink. The key to a tasty smoothie is picking ingredients with complimentary flavors. Here’s one of my favorite summer smoothies.
Pineapple – Peach Summer Smoothie
- 1 cup Water
- 2 fistful Romaine Lettuce
- 2 scoops Vanilla IsaPro Protein Powder
- ½ cup Peaches (canned in their own juice)
- ½ cup Frozen Pineapple Chunks
- 1 pinch Banana
- ½ cup ice
- Place water and lettuce in the blender.
- Blend until the lettuce is turned into juice.
- Add the Vanilla IsaPro Protein Powder, fruit, and ice.
- Blend until smooth.
This recipe serves one. If you need to serve other members of your family, just multiply the ingredients.
