Getting fit in your forties is a totally different game than the one you knew in your 20s. I think Expose said it best in their hit from the 80s.
Seasons change.
People change.
And, I want to add…
Bodies CHAAAAAAAAAAANGE.
When I was in my twenties, my get fit plan went a little something like this: dramatically cut my calories or give up an entire food group and do at least an hour of cardio every day. And, of course, I would do the standard 100 sit ups a night and a few arm curls after my cardio (with weights that were lighter than my purse though). Looking back, the whole thing is kind of funny. But, at the time, it worked. Well, that’s if you consider temporary weight loss working. However, two decades later, I have seen the error of my ways and embraced a much more efficient and sustainable approach.
In the video below, I get real about what getting and staying fit and fierce looks like now that I am forty.
Now you know exactly what I am doing- and not doing- to stay fit in this season of life. It really is simple and you can do it too.
