Lauryn Hill was on to something when she wrote these lyrics and love isn’t the only thing we make hard.
Let me first start by saying that if you are looking for advice on how to be the perfect dieter and find the perfect plan and follow it perfectly… I AM NOT YOUR GIRL! I am allll about teaching women how to do fitness and weight loss the smarter way. It is not about perfect and clean because life gets messy and dirty. My tips are for you if you want to be able to stick to your strategy even when life throws you curveballs.
You in? Here we go!
Here’s the problem I see with us ladies trying hard to lose weight only to end up hungry, exhausted, and disappointed. We are usually undereating protein and fiber and overeating starch and sugar. Well duh right? No rocket science there.

Knowing doesn’t equal doing…
so here are 5 SIMPLE SWAPS to correct that problem without counting and tracking. Because “ain’t nobody got time for THAT”.
#1: Sandwich Wraps for Sandwiches
Jimmy John’s and other sandwich places offer sandwich wraps. It is pretty much the sandwich and fixings without the bread. While you are at it, ask for extra meat to boost your protein.
#2: Salads for Sandwiches
Skip the sandwich and get a mega dose of veggies by getting an entrée salad for lunch or dinner. Add all the veggies you want and be sure you get a good dose of protein (lots of eggs, 3-5 ounces of meat, or a cup of beans).
#3: LaCroix Water for Soda
Get your fizz fix without the sugar and calories. LaCroix is my fave. Try the orange or coconut flavors. They are yummy!
#4: Burger “Plate” &Fries for Burgers & Fries
Everyone loves burgers and fries right? But they don’t love us back. Skip the bun. Add tons of veggies (tomatoes, lettuce, onions, mushrooms, pickles) and go ahead and enjoy those fries on the side.
#5: Protein Bars for Cereal or Granola Bars
That high fiber granola bar that seems like the perfect snack because it is ooooonly X calories can be standing in the way of the fierce figure you want. Swap it for a protein bar instead (either Isalean bars or Oatmega bars) for the same grab and go snack with more protein and fiber and less sugar.
