Giving up food you really enjoy just to lose weight is a set up for failure. Think about it. How many times have we delayed starting a weight loss plan because we just weren’t ready to give up our favorites? How many times have we promised to start after that birthday, that trip, or that event? Countless times, right?
So here’s the thing. All that delaying is costing us more results than just starting on what we may consider a less than ideal plan. What if, we didn’t ban anything? I bet we would be more likely to start. Wouldn’t we be more likely to keep going if eating our favorite foods were actually a part of the plan rather than a cheat or some type of deviation? I’m guessing the answer is yes.
